Martha was a dear human and muse in my life for 20 years. Her kindness, curiosity and creativity impacts my work daily. Martha was an artist: a potter, sketch artist, multi-medium creator. At the age of 13 Martha was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma. Her living bravely and holding compassion for others during her 7 1/2 years with recurrent cancer positively impacted families nationwide. Martha died from cancer April 15, 2022; forever 20. She left a legacy of hope (Forever MarthaSTRONG Hero Fund) for children to be cured of cancer and a dream that someday children will never have to go through what she went through. Cups of Kindness to Conquer Kids’ Cancer
Donation of $15+ per cup, you choose🌻
The little cups are made to mimic Martha’s tiny styled cups and can be delighted in so many ways. From a double shot of espresso and morning juice to an evening finger of bourbon or just sink-side water cup you’ll smile as you consume some kindness.
These cups are the result of a whimsical habit of wrapping up a day of throwing. Ending a session I usually have scraps of damp clay to be recycled. Instead of the latter, I use the scraps to throw a small cup. And when I think of how Mar and I would enjoy playing in clay with me asking, “What are you going to make Camille?” I pour that happiness into each cup.
100% of your donation for these Cups of Kindness will be sent directly to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation in memory of Martha Riedel, for critical research to find a cure for childhood cancer.
