I am an energetic, unique woman who thinks outside the box. My personal tale is one of exploration. I delight reflecting from where I have come and indulging my impulse of curiosity. I have prevailed living with auditory processing disorder and harnessed the associated anxiety with awareness, acceptance and personal boundaries.

As a teacher and an artist I am devoted to the inquisitive. I enjoy entertaining and encouraging others, especially children, to move confidently through life with a sense of self worth and finding a balance of effort and personal success. Trinkets of happiness, be them experiential or physical can be held and felt; make lasting impressions. I still hold onto memorabilia; reflecting and helping me move forward to new things.

I love being a woman, a partner, a parent, a neighbor, a teacher, an activist and an artist. There is potential and capability in knowing and loving who I am. And when needed I find peace moving through and with the outdoors.

My origins are Mexican-American. The enrichment of this heritage mixed with growing up in the southeast has influenced my teaching and my pottery as much as was venturing to Boulder, CO when I was 20. Bravely relocating my life and settling into new opportunity shifted me into a new freedom that amazed my constitution as much as it re-shaped it.

I welcome you to come explore my website be it for consult with literacy or to entice your clay interests. I hope you enjoy perusing. Be well, be happy, be yourself 🙂.
